Matt has always enjoyed the cool, crisp, refreshing taste of a Spiked Seltzer. The Seltzer Review is run by Matt who goes by DefnotMatty on all socials. Matt has been enjoying spiked seltzers since 2015 and reviewing spiked seltzers since 2024. Matt has reviewed 500+ Spiked Seltzers to date and has tasted Spiked Seltzers from across the globe. Matt has traveled to 20+ countries and has sampled local many local Spiked Seltzers. Matt is on a journey to drink every spiked seltzer that exists.

The Seltzer Review rankings list is a comprehensive ranked database of every spiked seltzer, including ABV, calories, sugar, beach score, photos, video reviews, where it was made, and base alcohol type. It's an attempt to categorically rank every spiked seltzer on planet Earth (and beyond) for the betterment of mankind.

The spiked seltzers on the list are ranked by using a specific, extremely serious, scientific process developed by Matt. Seltzers are ranked using a multi-factor process:

1. Smell, taste, mouth feel, carbonation, aesthetics, and even the sound of the crack.
2. After a 90% of the can is consumed: Matt will consider the alcohol type, ABV, sugar content, calories, and terroir.
3. Other flavors made by the same company/producer are then considered.
4. "Beach score", snapshot, brief review with notes.
5. Short video review followed by finishing the remaining 10% of the Seltzer.

The beach score represents the number of drinks (cans) one person could consume in a sitting before getting tired of the flavor. The Beach Score is one of the most important metrics on the Spiked Seltzer Reviews list. Colloquially, this represents the number of drinks you would like to have while enjoying a beautiful, sunny day at the beach. It's a scientific hypothesis proven out through rigorous experiments performed in real world trials.

The list is updated at a minimum of 2 times a week with new seltzers, reviews, and videos added.
